Vocational Training

The Hilton range of vocational refrigeration and air conditioning equipment is specifically designed for the practical training of installation and service engineers. Though standard and recognisable refrigeration components are used, the units are designed to provide students with experience that is not available using modified commercial equipment. The units are designed for safe operation by students of all abilities.

Hilton 801 Visual Refrigeration Training Unit.

Hilton 801 Visual Refrigeration Training Unit.

Introduces students to the following principles: Latent heat, Pressure/temperature relationship, A liquid can boil at sub-zero temperatures, Saturation temperature, Superheat and Sub-cooling. With its transparent evaporator, the Model 801 is designed to promote a clear understanding of these concepts, and introduces students to three types of refrigerant flow control devices.

Hilton 802 Commercial Refrigeration Training Unit.

Hilton 802 Commercial Refrigeration Training Unit.

Utilises industrial components and demonstrates the operation of a small vapour compression refrigeration system as used for a small chill room. Together with optional packages allows students to carry out simple fault finding, refrigerant recovery , re-charging. and basic electrical work.

Hilton 803 Commercial Refrigeration Training Unit.

Hilton 803 Commercial Refrigeration Training Unit.

Supplied as a kit of parts to build a complete 802 unit as above. Provides practical hands on experience of assembly and refrigerant piping.

Hilton Hermetic Refrigeration System Training Program 804

Hilton Hermetic Refrigeration System Training Program 804

Specifically designed for the training of domestic refrigeration and air conditioning service engineers. The unit promotes understanding of small refrigeration systems using a capillary expansion device and incorporates five instructor controlled faults to demonstrate fault finding. Supplied with a five part audio visual program .

Hilton 805 Advanced Training Unit

Hilton 805 Advanced Training Unit

Demonstrates the operation and control of a small cold room. Incorporates, electric defrost system, evaporator pressure regulation, crankcase protection, capacity regulation, variable cold room heat load. Panel mounted switches enable, selection of simple or more complex refrigeration circuit using suction gas heat exchanger, comparison of controls, a clear demonstration of the correct use of internal and externally equalised thermostatic expansion valves and selection of the built in faults.

Hilton 808 Reverse Cycle and Air Conditioning Training Unit.

Hilton 808 Reverse Cycle and Air Conditioning Training Unit.

Is designed to enhance student understanding of static and forced air evaporators, reverse cycle operation( incorporating heat pumps and defrosting) and air cooled and water cooled condensers. The unit is also equipped with internal and external equalised expansion valves, constant pressure expansion valve and capillary expansion device all selected by hand valves.

Hilton 811 Advanced Training Unit for Fault Location.

Hilton 811 Advanced Training Unit for Fault Location.

The largest of the vocational range this unit incorporates two display evaporators operating at different temperatures from a single three phase semi-hermetic compressor. A combination of 25 refrigerant circuit and electrical circuit faults can be activated by the instructor allowing both normal and fault condition operation to be investigated. The system includes reverse gas defrost, suction accumulator, oil separation and variable speed evaporator and condenser fans.

Hilton 812 Water Chiller Training Unit

Hilton 812 Water Chiller Training Unit

Designed to allow investigation of a water chiller, with and without evaporator pressure control (to prevent freezing). The unit incorporates a pumped water circuit with electrical heating to allow students to investigate the system performance under load. A water cooled condenser with adjustable constant pressure control and optional computerised data acquisition allows a wide range of operation and experience.

Hilton 816 Absorption Cycle Refrigerator.

Hilton 816 Absorption Cycle Refrigerator.

A fully operation ammonia-water absorption cycle refrigerator that operates using an electrical heater or optional gas heater. All of the main refrigeration cycle components are located in a clear plastic enclosure to aid student understanding. Standard instrumentation includes a digital temperature indicator with 10 way selector switch and a watt-hour meter to record electrical input to the standard heater that drives the refrigerator. Performance can be monitored under load using an internal evaporator heater.

In addition to the above products, a wide range of additional specialized equipment is available for vocational training in the following subject areas:- Automotive Air Conditioning, Industrial/Commercial Refrigeration, Domestic Refrigeration, Refrigeration Control Systems, Refrigeration Wiring and Electrical Fault Finding.
